Foreign tax credit and Form 67

Claim credit for tax paid abroad against Indian liability, with Form 67 filed in the prescribed window.

NRI Income Tax / Foreign tax credit and Form 67

How credit works

Where the same income is taxed in India and in another country, a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement or domestic law may allow credit for foreign tax. Form 67 is the prescribed statement supporting the claim. Filing it after the due date can put the credit at risk even if the return itself is otherwise complete.

Our work

We map income streams to the relevant article of the treaty, compute eligible credit, prepare Form 67, and align the ITR so the claim is internally consistent. Tax Residency Certificates and Form 10F are organised where the other country requires them for withholding relief.
